05:07 PM pere: andypugh: did you notice I mentioned my linuxcnc installation able to handle static addresses were using network-manager-gnome with xfce?
05:08 PM andypugh: Yes.
05:09 PM andypugh: I am a bit nervous of gnome, when I tried to install Gedit is XFCE it brought in 240MB of Gnomes. And then when I uninstalled it it removed the UI completely.
05:16 PM pere: I agree completely with the dependency bloat, but sadly it is the most up to date network-manager GUI. The KDE app is behind, and the others did not really leave the station. :)
