01:35 PM andypugh: pere: You seem to be on the case of 2.9 / master. I was hoping to do the same thing for 2.8, but I think that that will make merging messy, so I have decided not to bother.

01:38 PM pere: the majority was already using xdg-open, I only fixed one leftover use of x-www-browser and corrected the lintian overrides to match reality.

01:52 PM pere: the $(shell find ...) construct tell make to run the find command, extract the list of .desktop files and pass it to the shell in the for loop. while $$(find ...) will tell the shell to run the command and pass it to the for loop, and taking the make file out of that task.
