04:43 PM hazzy-lab: jepler: Do you use SMTP? I tried to use a gmail account for sending notifications from my weather station using SMTP, it was disabled almost immediately, and I had only sent 3 or 4 test emails to myself

04:48 PM jepler: hazzy-lab: This setup had been working for months afaik, though I didn't record when I set it up this way.
04:48 PM jepler: I have used SMTP through DigitalOcean and lots of email was not delivered, so this seemed like a good solution
04:49 PM jepler: it looks like part of the problem may be due to a user with 1,600 thread subscriptions changing their email address to "noreply@google.com"! Stupidly sending hundreds of emails to "noreply@google.com" probably is a sign of a braindead spammer.
