10:11 AM JT-Shop: pcw_home: do you have a sample configuration for a 6i24?
10:21 AM pcw_home: No, but you can just use a 5I20 sample and change the board name
10:24 AM JT-Shop: ok thanks
04:15 PM andypugh: That’s annoying. Lived-CD install (Stretch) does not like you logging in to the LinuxCNC forum, it pops up a security warning over the entry box for username and password.
04:16 PM andypugh: (You can still type, but you can’t see what you are typing)
04:41 PM Tom_L: just make no typos
05:20 PM hazzy: andypugh: That is odd, I have never had that happen, and yet I have logged into the forum many times using the browse that ships with the stretch Live-CD
05:22 PM andypugh: https://photos.app.goo.gl/VLP2EojkoxqkvI092
05:23 PM hazzy: huh? Interesting ...
05:24 PM andypugh: It seems to be because I was too lazy to type https:// in front of the forum.linuxcnc.org
05:25 PM hazzy: ah, that does it!
05:29 PM hazzy: Well, i can reproduce the popup using http:// but it shows as it should below the entry: https://i.imgur.com/IFJ0pCR.png
05:33 PM andypugh: FWIW the link takes you to a clear and accurate description page.
08:04 PM jepler: I preserved http-only access because at the time I migrated the forum (which was over a year ago now) I had one particular vocal user who said the https didn't work for them
08:05 PM jepler: they said they were on XP with IE but I was being nice that day and decided it was better to not force https for all visitors
08:05 PM jepler: with the changes over the last 6 months to how password dialogs are presented on non-https connections, it's probably time to revisit that
08:05 PM jepler: but be aware, some people may end up being unable to access the forum, though the only case I really know of is seriously, literally IE on XP
08:39 PM jepler: I've changed the setting to force https for all of forum.linuxcnc.org.
08:44 PM jepler: fwiw audit of the https settings gives an "A" https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=forum.linuxcnc.org&s=2604%3Aa880%3A0%3A1010%3A0%3A0%3Ad%3Ab001&hideResults=on
