10:53 AM hazzy: log: eyup?
10:56 AM hazzy: log eyup?
11:01 AM hazzy: Heh, I thought the log was slow, but it was actually me :)
11:25 AM seb_kuzminsky: lol
01:16 PM Tom_L: log should make it respond
02:13 PM Tom_L: apparently by itself
02:19 PM jepler: wow, you can apparently run (micro)python on teensy boards
02:20 PM Tom_L: those are usb chips right?
02:20 PM Tom_L: paul wrote his own bootloader for those iirc
02:21 PM Tom_L: well, the avr one anyway
02:23 PM jepler: yes, I think "pjrc" has continued the tradition of proprietary bootloaders on teensy products, which is the main thing to *not* like about them imo
02:24 PM Tom_L: yup
02:50 PM hazzy: Tom_L: thanks! for some reason I thought it did not matter if something came after the log. But maybe that is with c-log
02:51 PM hazzy: :)
02:51 PM Tom_L: also responds to 'index' but in a different way
06:44 PM andypugh: JT-Shop: The 7i74 arrived safely. That’s my 25th Mesa card! And I have only built 3 machines.
07:17 PM skunkworks: andypugh, :) I have a bunch of 7i92's that I really only use for testing configs..
07:18 PM andypugh: Well, a lot of mine were sent for testing drivers and such.
07:27 PM skunkworks: well - you have contributed to linuxcnc :0
07:27 PM skunkworks: :)
07:28 PM skunkworks: I just play and act like linuxcnc is the best control ever.
07:28 PM skunkworks: oh - and I model for linuxcnc.
07:30 PM skunkworks: I might have had one too many glasses of wine.
07:33 PM skunkworks: andypugh, did you hear john stevenson died?
07:33 PM andypugh: No, I hadn’t heard.
07:34 PM andypugh: Was he old enough for that to be expected? I didn’t think so,
07:35 PM skunkworks: he had a bone marrow transplant then got an infection that killed him. (from my understanding)
07:35 PM andypugh: I nearly used one of his widgets today, the ER32 square block.
07:36 PM skunkworks: I don't know how much stuff he did. I only know him from the mach side - and linuxcnc arguments.
07:37 PM skunkworks: (although he used your hobbing setup because it was the only hobby solution that worked..) I think archivist set it up for him.
07:38 PM andypugh: He seems to have designed a few things sold by arceurotrade: http://www.arceurotrade.co.uk/catalogue/results.aspx?search=stevensons
07:39 PM skunkworks: neat!
07:43 PM andypugh: I was going to use the square block (which is exaclty 40mm square) as an edge-finder with my coaxial indicator. Clamp the block into the corner (without a collet) and centre to that, I then know I am 20mm above the table and 20mm from the edge.
07:45 PM skunkworks: I don't know what I would do without my probe.. I think I use it every setip
07:45 PM skunkworks: setup
07:45 PM andypugh: My probe doesn’t fit my horizontal spindle.
07:46 PM andypugh: But the coaxial does.
07:46 PM skunkworks: threw a piston in the chuck - probed the outside dimension.. Mill a ring slot.
07:47 PM skunkworks: make sens
07:47 PM skunkworks: sense
07:50 PM skunkworks: threw the 2nd piston in the chuch a day later.. It probed within .0001"
07:50 PM skunkworks: (I love the K&T...)
07:50 PM skunkworks: chuch
07:50 PM skunkworks: omg
07:50 PM skunkworks: chuck
