09:47 AM jepler: skunkworks_: I ultimately did 4 prints last night including 2 pretty lengthy ones and didn't have the problem with the coupling again. I did get some weird defect that looked like under-extrusion on just one part of the object; but that part of the object was pretty thin. I printed it again with thicker walls and more infill and the problem didn't recur, so I don't know what that means. https://e

09:50 PM jepler: Tom_L: I think it's unlikely that linuxcnc.org will ever offer a newer Ubuntu install image, and likely that it will offer a new Debian install image. But for 2.7 and master branch, we anticipate that you'll be able to use Ubuntu 12.04, as well as Debian 7 and 8.

10:07 PM jepler: skunkworks_: it's dependent on the bed position (bed all the way forward, it'll heat), so I assume it's a problem of wear on the wires. from what I can see with the bed in place, the connection at the pads looks fine, and I didn't identify any wear on the wires where they flex or rub in motion so I'm baffled. leaving it for another night, but gee I wanted to print some PETG
