08:02 AM skunkworks: oh - forgot about mozmck.. ;)
08:10 AM mozmck: no wonder! I've been rather out of pocket for a while.
08:13 AM mozmck: I'm afraid I have not been much of a release maintainer so far. If someone else wants to volunteer to take over it will not hurt my feelings - otherwise, I'll try and get working on it real soon now.
11:48 AM skunkworks: RR needs to be rebased into master again..
11:49 AM skunkworks: and then tested :)
12:04 PM jepler: mozmck: if now is the wrong time for you to be the release manager, that's fine and we'll find a consensus for somebody else to be release manager.
12:05 PM jepler: but if we dismiss everyone who is guilty of months of benign neglect it would be an empty channel instead of just a quiet one
12:05 PM cradek: but also there's no emergency causing us to need a release right now
12:06 PM skunkworks: You guys are awesome!
12:06 PM mozmck: Well, I think things will be slowing down for me a little. Things are mostly settled after Dad's death, and I'm hopefully getting somewhat caught up with work soon.
12:07 PM mozmck: So I'm still willing to do it, and I think I'll have a little more time soon.
12:07 PM cradek: sorry about your dad, and I'll help however I can
12:11 PM mozmck: Thanks a lot
12:11 PM mozmck: So far I have not even run master yet - we are using 2.7 and I think it might take a good bit of work on my end to switch :-/
02:06 PM mozmck: run from line has a number of problems...
02:08 PM andypugh: Indeed. I avoid it. But if it is there, you would expect it to at least work a bit.
02:10 PM mozmck: Yeah - I made a run from line mode that just starts where the line is instead of running through code setting state. It works for what I need, but you have to be careful with it.
02:10 PM mozmck: Hmm, I don't know if I got that in master yet.
02:12 PM andypugh: It appears that if you have a remapped G-code toolchange it doesn’t just run through setting state, it runs through all the tool changes, and it runs all the G-code.
02:13 PM mozmck: huh. if you have a probe move in a subroutine it breaks in very interesting ways as well
02:13 PM mozmck: At least in an external file subroutine
05:19 PM andypugh: OK, so I really have no idea what question Nicklas thinks he is answering on the mailing list. Pretty sure it isn’t the one that was being asked
06:27 PM skunkworks: the jerk limited planner that micges worked on was better - but still had a lot of violations. (and it was exact stop initally - blending was worse if I remember correctly)
06:27 PM skunkworks: I think he was working on it for a customer then showed him the circular arc blending performance and that is what he used
06:46 PM seb_kuzminsky: it's pretty great
06:52 PM skunkworks: yes - it is very nice improvement..
