[08:47:15]<archivist> andy's mesa version is on the forum, my version sits on a hard disk
[08:47:25]<archivist> wiki I mean
[08:48:52]<archivist> and is based on andy's not a lot different from his original, but those are from before he did a better screen
[08:52:01]<archivist> and is probably almost exactly http://www.collection.archivist.info/archive/mirror/JS/2016/hobbing_machine/ (might be last minute edits)
[08:54:15]<skunkworks> cool
[08:56:43]<archivist> JS uses it very open loop using the mills original self act rather than cnc advance of the cutter
[08:58:04]<skunkworks> why are there 2 encoders
[08:58:06]<skunkworks> ?
[08:59:36]<archivist> that probably still has the error checking encoder I added to my barber colman hobbing machine
[08:59:46]<skunkworks> ah
[09:00:23]<archivist> was watching the hal values to double check
[14:27:21]<skunkworks> the edm supply powers up..
[14:28:06]<skunkworks> The dro on it seems to have a power supply problem. The 5v that runs the scales drops to 3v if you plug all the scales in. (any 2 scales work)
[14:28:21]<skunkworks> we have some lm317's coming
[14:47:14]<skunkworks> we think the previous owners trouble shooting ability was sub par.. we think they unplugged the Z axis scale and the dro started working - so they replaced the z axis scale. It is newer and not mounted all the way.
[14:52:09]<cradek> oops
[14:52:47]<skunkworks> good for us.. :)
[15:53:38]<seb_kuzminsky> i'm off for a week! see you all next monday-ish
[16:12:33]<andypugh> pcw_home: Did you get the chance to try the M-flag?
[16:20:16]<pcw_mesa> just getting to it had to deal with a DNS DDOS attack here
[16:28:28]<andypugh> Great :-(
[16:47:27]<pcw_mesa> I did figure out something about about teraka's SSI DPLL bug
[16:47:44]<pcw_mesa> (building wrapless now)
[16:59:33]<pcw_mesa> my current encoder mode is %24ge, should this be %24gem for no wrap?
[17:00:43]<andypugh> %24gme
[17:15:43]<pcw_mesa> OK works!
[18:41:32]<pcw_mesa> Yay! Found the DPLL bug
