skunkworks: :-)
[08:25:57]
<skunkworks>
seems odd as the ESS is supposed to be a motion card...
[08:27:16]
<pcw_home>
Maybe Machs somewhat bumpy trajectory planner
[08:29:22]
<skunkworks>
maybe
[08:29:51]
<skunkworks>
That is brians 2 year plan - re-write the TP.
[08:32:48]
<skunkworks>
cradek, did you cnc file the slots?

[08:34:26]
<archivist>
side cutting files for screw heads
[08:35:01]
<archivist>
using a parallel is cheating :)
[08:36:20]
<archivist>
what they look like
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SWISS-MADE-SCREW-HEAD-SLOT-FILE-WATCHMAKER-JEWELER-TOOL-NEW-SUPER-THIN-/121891989381
[08:39:57]
<cradek>
yes, screwhead file clamped on top of an adjustable parallel
[08:40:07]
<cradek>
oh hey it even says that right there
[08:40:23]
<cradek>
but yeah, it was done by the cnc in a somewhat ridiculous fashion
[08:40:56]
<skunkworks>
:)
[08:42:10]
<cradek>
the little sherline has room for gang tooling if the tools are tiny enough
[08:42:41]
<cradek>
the threading tool was upside-down on the back
[18:11:52]
<andypugh>
Forum query: Custom M-code return value? Is that easy? I guess you can shell-out to halcmd and setp an analogue input.
[18:12:31]
<andypugh>
Possibly MDI a #340 = 2204 (or maybe not in Auto mode)
[18:29:51]
<skunkworks>
andypugh: are you using the gear teeth sensors on your mill?
[18:30:39]
<andypugh>
No. They are fitted, and I could, but I fitted a resolver as well, and use that.
[18:34:07]
<skunkworks>
we drilled a hole for an index but the sensor doesn't act as expected
[18:45:10]
<andypugh>
I have a screw as an index, and that works
[18:45:35]
<andypugh>
Put a rod / screw / lump in the hole and see if that works?
[19:08:09]
<skunkworks>
sure
