11:35 AM aandrew: I'd forgotten about this workaround for getting a constant hot at the load side of a 3-way circuit
11:35 AM aandrew: I mentioned it last week but this is the (much) better version, it's really just the size of the relay itself
12:12 PM rue_mohr: you did
12:12 PM rue_mohr: its the UPS auto module I made a month ago
12:12 PM rue_mohr: (without neutral switching)
12:13 PM rue_mohr: but you managed to find a 120V coil relays thats small
01:21 PM aandrew: well "small" but yeah
01:22 PM rue_mohr: I cant use one of those smaller relays to make it smaller, the series capacitor makes up the rest of the space
01:22 PM rue_mohr: do you performance profile programs?
01:22 PM rue_mohr: I picked up this project called stl2pov
01:22 PM rue_mohr: its ported from rust to c
01:23 PM rue_mohr: and its dog-ass slow
01:23 PM rue_mohr: it takes like 20 minutes to parse an stl with a 1M triangles
01:24 PM rue_mohr: ran it thru valgrind, which flagged some things, but probably not performance issues
01:24 PM rue_mohr: cant recall what to you use time the function speeds
03:54 PM polprog: rue_mohr: apparently yes, nothing is shorted inside anymore
03:54 PM polprog: it must have been the crowbar
03:55 PM polprog: https://polprog.net/rozne1/ircjunk/agilent_psu/agilent_psu.html
03:55 PM polprog: im writing a post
03:55 PM polprog: i will finish it once i fix the psu, im waiting for the parts
03:55 PM polprog: i ordered new fuses, and a new fan
04:01 PM aandrew: rue_mohr: I do when necessary but otherwise no. orbuculum is amazing for that with ARM. You need the SWO pin and then the utility orbtop. One of my favourites
04:03 PM polprog: sup aandrew
04:05 PM aandrew: wiring the basement (rough wiring was done a while ago, this is installing the switches and outlets and all the smart relays to drive them too
04:06 PM aandrew: I have a combination of wifi (shelly), zigbee and zwave ones
04:07 PM polprog: nice
04:09 PM aandrew: yeah but my fingers are sore and I've got packing and cleaning to do before flying back to california tomorrow afternoon
04:09 PM polprog: ouchie
04:09 PM polprog: ill be in california in 2 weeks
04:09 PM aandrew: well it's much better than this morning ... I thought I was flying out at 9am tomorrow not 5pm :-)
04:09 PM aandrew: polprog: nice, whereabouts? I think you told me
04:09 PM polprog: i think i did :D
04:10 PM polprog: san francisco and the like
04:12 PM aandrew: oh yeah unfortunately way away from Irvine
10:32 PM rue_shop2: 4cm
10:34 PM aandrew: depends on the map. might be more or less than 4cm depending on scale :-)
10:52 PM rue_shop2: :]
10:52 PM rue_shop2: making linear sensors
10:53 PM rue_shop2: well trying
10:53 PM rue_shop2: http://ruemohr.org/%7Eircjunk/tutorials/elex/ldvc/lvdc.html
11:12 PM rue_mohr: meh, my idea doesn't have enough surface area for that to work
